Every Child Deserves to Feel at Home in the Water
Dynalistic Rockets was built from the ground up to welcome every child โ including those with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, anxiety, and other additional needs. Rebecca's adaptive approach means no child is ever left behind.
Neurodiverse Friendly Town โ Alcester
Alcester Neurodiverse Friendly Town Initiative
Proudly Part of Something Bigger
Dynalistic Rockets is a proud member of the Alcester Neurodiverse Friendly Town Initiative โ a community-wide commitment to making Alcester a welcoming, understanding, and accessible place for neurodiverse individuals and their families.
The Neurodiverse Friendly Town Initiative brings together local businesses, schools, and organisations in Alcester to create an environment where neurodiverse people are understood, respected, and included โ not just accommodated.
For Rebecca, joining the initiative wasn't a box-ticking exercise. It reflects a core belief: that neurodiverse children deserve the same access to joyful, confidence-building experiences as any other child โ and that swimming can be one of the most transformative of those experiences.
Rebecca's adaptive approach
Teaching That Meets Every Child Where They Are
After 35 years of coaching, Rebecca has developed a toolkit of adaptive techniques that she tailors to each individual child. There is no one-size-fits-all method here.
Sensory-aware environment
The private pool at St Nicholas Primary School is calm, quiet, and free from the overwhelming noise and crowds of public leisure centres. For children with sensory sensitivities, this makes all the difference.
Flexible pacing
Rebecca never rushes a child. If a child needs five sessions just to feel comfortable sitting on the pool edge, that's exactly what they get. Progress is celebrated at every stage, however small.
Visual & kinaesthetic learning
Many neurodiverse children learn better through demonstration and doing rather than verbal instruction. Rebecca uses visual cues, physical guidance, and hands-on techniques to reach every learning style.
Predictable structure
Sessions follow a consistent, predictable format so children know what to expect. For children who find change or uncertainty difficult, this routine provides a reassuring anchor.
Positive reinforcement
Every session is built around encouragement and celebration. Rebecca focuses on what each child can do, building confidence and self-belief alongside swimming skills.
Open communication with parents
Rebecca works closely with parents and carers to understand each child's specific needs, triggers, and strengths before they even get in the water โ and keeps that conversation going throughout.
Who we support
Additional Needs We Regularly Support
Rebecca has experience working with children across a wide range of additional needs. This is not an exhaustive list โ if your child has needs not mentioned here, please get in touch.
Not on this list? Please get in touch โ Rebecca is happy to discuss your child's individual needs.
For parents & carers
What to Expect Before, During & After
Tell Rebecca about your child
When you enquire, share as much as you'd like about your child's needs, triggers, and what helps them feel safe. The more Rebecca knows, the better she can prepare.
A relaxed first visit
First sessions are always low-pressure. Your child can take as long as they need to get comfortable with the pool environment before any swimming begins.
Parents welcome poolside โ always
Parents and carers are welcome to stay poolside for every session. We have seating available so you can watch, relax, and be close to your child throughout.
Ongoing feedback
Rebecca will always take a moment after each session to share how your child got on and what the focus will be next time, so you're always in the loop.
Swimming gave me so much as a child. I want every child โ whatever their needs โ to have the chance to experience that same freedom and joy in the water.
